The Chatfield College Library is available to all students as well as for use by the community. Resources include a computer database of periodicals, interlibrary loan, as well as a collection of over 24,000 books, 25 newspapers and periodicals, and a number of DVD’s. Through the library’s automated system, students and the community have access to over 7,000,000 books and educational resources from other libraries across the country. Computer workstations are linked to the Internet and Academic Abstracts. In addition, the Chatfield College Library contains a collection of children’s literature and a number of small special collections, such as the Quilt Collection, the Ohio Collection, and the Appalachian Collection.

  • Stop by and check out the March Library display.  The theme is the Holocaust and books shown are a mix of memoirs and historical accounts.  And don't forget to join us Monday, March 26 from 3-4 p.m. for home baked treats and a variety of teas as Marguerite Levy -Feibelman tells her extraordinary story of how her family survived the Holocaust by disguising their Jewish heritage through false identity papers while living in the French Alps.        This database provides students access to more than 7 million books and videos available at many public libraries. Chatfield Library has added its collection to this database. Using your Chatfield Library Card and a computer with Internet access, you can place holds on materials. Items requested from the SEO database that are not part of the Chatfield collection will usually take a day or two to arrive at Chatfield through interlibrary loan.

WorldCat is the world’s largest catalog of library content and services. Chatfield is not a member of WorldCat. However, materials found there can be obtained by printing the book information and bringing that sheet of information to the library.

OPLIN : http://www.oplin.org
It is possible to access over 50 research databases through OPLIN. All that is needed is a computer with Internet access and an Ohio public library card. If you do not have an Ohio public library card, contact Dolores in the Chatfield Library.
