Chatfield operates on a rolling-admissions schedule. Prospective students are notified of acceptance within four weeks of completing the application process. Students are encouraged to register early. Fall registration begins May 1. Spring registration begins November 1. Summer registration begins April 1. Students who wish to apply for financial assistance need to begin the application process before these dates to allow time for processing the financial data.

Step 1 – Complete Application

Apply online (application fee waived), download an application for admission, or request an application from the Office of Admissions by calling (513) 875-3344, ext. 110. If you choose not to apply online, complete and return the application with a nonrefundable $10 fee.

Step 2 – Provide High School Transcript or GED Verification
Academic advisors need this information to help students select courses for best progress toward the degree and best use of financial aid funding. Submit an official high school transcript or GED diploma and scores; if transferring to Chatfield, submit official college academic records.

Step 3 – Take the Placement Test
Degree seeking students who have not yet taken a college level English or Math course must take an English/Math placement test to determine an appropriate level for them to start. Please call to schedule your placement test as soon as possible. You will need approximately two hours to complete both portions of the placement test.

Step 4 – Apply for Financial Aid

  1. Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Chatfield Supplemental Aid Form. Deadline for completing financial aid application: January 10, 2011.
  2. Keep a copy of your FAFSA data. Mail paper FAFSA and Supplemental Aid form to Financial Aid Office.
  3. You may schedule an appointment with a financial aid counselor at any time to discuss the process or your eligibility. An estimated award can be made at this time, if you bring your 2009 Federal tax returns.
  4. Aid awards will be mailed from the Financial Aid Office to students. Awards will tell whether books are covered, and will include information about applying for any loans offered.

Step 5 – Register for Classes
Schedule an appointment with the Admission Counselor to select appropriate courses. Complete registration form.
* Note: Please register as soon as possible due to limited space available in certain courses.

Step 6 – Purchase Books

Chatfield College has decided to partner with MBS Direct to ensure that you receive the best possible service and the highest quality product. Please go to their website for instructions and information regarding purchasing of textbooks and course materials.

Step 7 – Make Payment Arrangements

Students should arrange payment for tuition and fees not covered by financial aid.
