As a Chatfield student, you’ll receive the knowledge to prepare you for a career in criminal justice while also earning an education grounded in liberal arts and faith-based values. The criminal justice program provides you with skills that transfer to a wide variety of career paths, including paralegal, court clerk, child protective services, and many others. Upon completion of the Ohio Police Officer Training Academy (OPOTA), you are eligible to receive 19 credit hours toward your degree.
Chatfield College graduates are qualified to work in entry-level criminal justice positions and go on to:
- Earn Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees.
- Work in adult and juvenile correctional facilities.
- Provide private security for companies.
- Serve as a police officer or Sheriff’s deputy.
