Establishing an Endowed Scholarship

An Endowed Scholarship provides an opportunity for a donor to leave a permanent legacy through a named scholarship to benefit generations of students served by Chatfield's mission.

•Minimum principal of $20,000. Assuming a conservative 5% rate of return, a $20,000 endowment will provide an annual $1,000 scholarship.

• To grow the principal, the donor can add to the endowment at any time, or can specify that the college award a minimum amount each year ($500 is the minimum scholarship award at Chatfield) and roll additional interest back into the principal amount each year to grow the endowment.

• Donor can specify restrictions (consistent with curriculum and mission of Chatfield) on award, and name of scholarship. Chatfield will set the academic criteria for the award.

Contributing to an existing Endowed Scholarship

Anyone can contribute to an existing Endowed Scholarship at Chatfield College.  Please consult the following list of current Endowed Scholarships and contact the Development Office at 513-875-3344, ext. 117 for further information.
