The term "Annual Fund" refers to the fact that these gifts are needed each year. The Fiscal Year at Chatfield College follows closely to the academic year (July 1 to June 30 of each year. Annual Fund gifts make up for expenses not covered by tuition. Each year, donations are received from alumni, staff, faculty, board members, businesses, foundations, community organizations, and friends who believe in the mission and work of Chatfield College. These gifts provide vitally needed resources for academic programs, scholarship support, equipment, computers for labs, and resources for the Library. Each gift has an immediate impact, and every aspect of college life at Chatfield College benefits from Annual Fund gifts. All gifts to Chatfield College are tax-deductable.
Gifts to the Annual Fund can be:
1. Unresrticted donations - used based on priorities set by management and the board of trustees.
2. Designated for a specific purpose - such as scholarships, library, curriculum (including faculty, programs, and resources), and/or preservation of buildings and grounds.
3. Designated for a specific location - either the main campus in St. Martin (Brown County) or the Cincinnati Campus in Findlay Market.
For any questions relating to Annual Fund gifts, contact Cheryl Kern at (513) 875-3344, ext. 130 or e-mail Cheryl Kern at cheryl.kern@chatfield.edu.
Matching Gifts
Many companies match gifts from employees (and their spouses), board members, and retirees. These matches can double or triple the impact of a donor’s gift. For the college to receive the matching gift, the donor must fill out a form from the employer (usually found in Human Resources) and send it to Chatfield with their gift or pledge form.
