Doug Link Receives Excellence in Teaching Award

May 21st, 2014 Doug Link Receives Excellence in Teaching Award

Doug Link, Chatfield graduate and full-time faculty member, received the Dean Agatha Fitzgerald, OSU Excellence in Teaching Award at the college’s 43rd Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 10.

This award is given each year to an instructor who exemplifies the academic spirit and values of Chatfield College.

Doug Link earned his Associate Degree from Chatfield College in 1998, a Bachelor’s degree from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in 2000 and a Master’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2007. He began teaching at Chatfield College in 2007 as an adjunct instructor. He served as a volunteer in many activities, as a member of the Board of Trustees, and on the Building and Grounds Committee. This fall, Doug stepped down from the Board of Trustees when he was invited to become a full-time faculty member, chair of the Humanities Department, and student advisor.
