Chatfield College Achieves Record Enrollment; More Adjunct Faculty Needed to Meet Demand

August 14th, 2013

Chatfield College achieved its fourth straight year of record enrollment by serving 621 students at both its campuses in Brown County and Cincinnati during the academic year between August 2012 and July 2013. This past year’s enrollment is the highest in the history of the college.

“We are pleased that the Chatfield name and brand continues to gain recognition, so students who want to attend an accredited liberal arts college, yet stay close to home, have a place where they will get the support they need as they balance school with their busy lives” explained Alan Simmons, Academic Dean.

Now, in order to meet current and future enrollment needs, the college is actively recruiting new adjunct faculty.

“Our recent numbers and projected growth indicates that we need to add to our pool of adjunct faculty,” Simmons stated.  “Instructors are needed in all liberal arts subjects, including business, computers, math, English, history, human services, and all of the sciences.”

The college offers classes in the morning, afternoon, and evening and instructors are needed for all time blocks.  Chatfield operates with small class sizes resulting in a more interactive teaching and learning environment.

Anyone interested in joining the Chatfield faculty can email alan.simmons@chatfield.edu with a subject line: “Adjunct Faculty Candidate.”  Candidates should hold a Master’s Degree or higher.

Chatfield College is a private, Catholic, liberal arts college offering the Associate of Arts degree in St. Martin and Cincinnati.  Big dreams come true here.  Chatfield is an open enrollment college and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.  Prospective students need only to have a High School Diploma or GED to attend and will be guided individually through the enrollment and Financial Aid application process.  The St. Martin campus is located at 20918 State Route 251; St. Martin, OH  45118. The Findlay Market campus is located at 1800 Logan Street; Cincinnati, OH  45202.  For more information, visit www.chatfield.edu, call 513-875-3344 (St. Martin), 513-921-9856 (Cincinnati) or email admissions@chatfield.edu.
